This basement property began as a stripped-back shell with limited natural light and a single-bedroom layout. Team 1 approached the project as a complete transformation, reimagining the space into a modern three-bedroom home with a clear sense of flow and purpose.

A large rear extension introduced additional volume and opened the property towards the garden, bringing in natural light and creating a stronger connection between internal and external spaces. The result is a bright, contemporary home that feels open, balanced and entirely redefined from its original form.

The property was taken back to brick and rebuilt with a new layout that maximises both space and functionality. The ground floor was arranged as an open-plan kitchen, dining and living environment, enhanced by large-format glazing and rooflights that draw light deep into the space.

The kitchen sits as a central element, with a clean and practical layout supported by integrated storage. A restrained palette allows the architectural form to remain dominant, while two bathrooms and three bedrooms are carefully positioned to provide comfort and privacy.

Externally, the rear extension connects seamlessly to a stepped garden, creating a natural continuation of the internal space. The result is a considered composition of light, proportion and modern detailing, delivered with clarity and precision.
